COCOSHIGA serves a base for sharing information on Shiga prefecture.

Name and
Logo Concept

The name COCOSHIGA is packed with meaning such as "Shiga is here," "here is where you can find information on Shiga," and “if you come here, you’ll want to visit Shiga."

The logo is designed to look like a single Japanese-style brush stroke drawing of Lake Biwa,
with the Japanese characters for "COCO" like smiling eyes or mouths.
The "Shi (滋)" character incorporates a zigzag design to look like the reed grass found growing around Lake Biwa, representing our desire to share the rich natural resources of Shiga.
